Jose Montoya, M.S., L.Ac. has a Masters of Science in Acupuncture. He is a currently a Doctoral Fellow at Five Branches University, where he will graduate next year with a Clinical Doctorate and then pursue a Ph.D. in Oriental Medicine. He is licensed by the state of Arizona and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He is a current member of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and NADA. Jose also serves on the Arizona State Board of Acupuncture Examiners.
He has been studying and working in the field of Medicine for 16 years. During his graduate classes in Traditional Chinese Medical studies, he traveled to China two times, receiving certificates from a World Health Organization Hospital, Guang An Men Hospital Beijing, and China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. He has attended multiple seminars across the country and in Europe to continue his studies.
Before this, he studied Human Anatomy and Biology and worked in the nursing field for 6 years. His experience allows him to bridge Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. Jose works with many doctors around the valley. Due to his experience, he is able to explain how and what treatments are effective for your specific disorder. One patient came in with chronic back and neck pain, and after a few visits, Jose was able to devise a method to get his headaches down to a minimal, while helping to level out the back pain involved also.
Jose currently treats many patients who suffer from chronic and acute pain. In addition, he has experience assisting patients with compromised immunity, stress and anxiety, fatigue, infertility, digestive disorders and various symptomologies of autoimmune and detoxification. Complicated and difficult cases are seen frequently in his office.
